Heather & Sean’s Lemon Tale

“In March of 2021 Sean and I bought a fixer upper to flip and sell. We had plans to do a lot of the renovations ourselves and document the process on social media, but life was just too busy. I was running another business (also online) and sean was working a full time job. Fast forward 6ish months and the renovations were taking longer than we originally planned (we had little idea what we were doing, ha). We also happened to be outgrowing the current home we were living in and needed more space. The market was at an all time high, so we decided it made the most sense to sell our current home and move in to the fixer upper. We would live in it for a bit, finish the renovations, and pour more love into the home then we originally planned. I also decided to really commit to sharing the journey on social media and see what happened. It was a hard decision to make, but our guts were telling us it was the right one.

In a little over a year our total audience has grown to almost 500k, and the opportunities we have been given have surpassed what we ever thought was possible (esp in such a short time). I was able to scale back my former business entirely and go full time into AHWB. Everyday we get to do what we love, together. Our love and talent for design is growing, and we’re even starting to take on client projects! So, it didn’t work out the way we planned, it worked out better. Home is our passion and we’re just getting started.”
