$16 Table? Say less.

We found this $15.59 dining table at Goodwill, it was a great size and shape. The only thing we didn’t love was the color of the stain. Plus we’d have to rent a truck to get it home. Normally it’s easier to say no because it feels like a lot of work but for the price… it felt worth it and I took a risk in saying yes!

How it looked when we found it!

This table is 6 feet so it’s a pretty large size but we couldn’t wait!

We had a sander but with the rest of the details on the legs I knew I’d need something different to help strip the finish off. I had seen people soda blasting furniture online so I thought I’d give it a try.

Starting at Harbor Freight I grabbed the 15lb. Portable Soda Blaster, an air compressor(this one was more expensive but you can ask an associate for a different one that will work with your soda blaster), an air compressor hose, the bits for the ends of the hoses (ask associate for assistance) and a 50lb. bag of baking soda (I recommend fine instead of medium grade if you can find it).

From there we watched some YouTube videos on how to set up each of the different items we had just purchased and got going! Below is how it turned out. It’s been over a year that we’ve had it and we just love it so much. Adds a great touch to our home!
