Week 7
Week 7 wrapped, here’s everything we learned:
1. Work is still work, even if you’re doing what you love every day. “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” is not (always) true. I think the stigmatism with the saying is that doing what you love will feel like vacation. However, not working means you are enjoying time off. Work is still work. There’s a difference.
2. Set more timers. A couple weeks ago we talked about timers for cleaning. I’ve started doing it for my work to-do lists. I’m doing it right now in fact. I knew I needed to write these steps out and had been putting it off. So I set a timer. If I respect myself enough to set a timer and hold myself to that time, I can get it done.
3. Let it go. If we miss an exit on the highway… what’s the big deal? Let it go. If ever there were a time in my life to be able to go with the flow it’s right now. However, I wish I had incorporated more of this into my life beforehand.
